Introduction to Osteopathic Manipulation Treatment Workshop, September 16, 2024
8:00am – 4:00pm at PNWU-COM in Yakima, WA in-person or livestream*
This OMT workshop is designed to introduce basic osteopathic principles and techniques to foster osteopathic-focused education and improve competencies in osteopathic preceptors. Participants will experience an interactive learning environment that incorporates kinesthetic learning with lecture and hands-on practice at OMT tables.
The target audience is allopathic residents matriculating into a residency programs with ACGME Osteopathic Recognition, residency program faculty, MDs who precept osteopathic learners, a refresher course for DOs and any other practitioner interested in learning more about OMT. This free workshop is open to WWAMI FMRN residency programs and PNWU osteopathic preceptors. *There are specific requirements in order to livestream the workshop. Register here.
Overall Course Objectives

- Introduce basic skills and concepts associated with Osteopathic Principles and Practice.
- Help osteopathic preceptors feel more competent and comfortable precepting osteopathic learners performing OMM by increasing their knowledge and applicability of OMM techniques.
- Refresher of knowledge and competence in OMM for DOs.
