Student Doctor Natasha Kreuger Connects PNWU with Mission-Aligning Local Center
When she first connected with Wenatchee Valley Colleges Area Health Education Center, Student Doctor Natasha Kreuger, PNWU-SOPT Class of 2025, was confident she would be joining a long line of PNWU students. After all, the AHEC’s mission (AHEC) — to address the healthcare needs of rural and medically underserved communities through interprofessional practice and continued education – seemed a mirror image of our own.
“I was genuinely surprised when I found out that I was the first PNWU student to join,” explained Student Dr. Kreuger, discussing how she has harnessed an untapped opportunity to work alongside different healthcare students across Eastern Washington.
“Since joining, I have had the opportunity to learn and share with several different healthcare students across Eastern Washington,” added Student Dr. Kreuger. “Additionally, I have had my attendance at the Northwest Rural Health conference covered and have been asked to give a presentation to a nearby high school about Physical Therapy. I have found this to be highly rewarding and in line with my future career goals.”
