Casper Testing

The Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences – School of Dental Medicine will utilize the Casper online situational judgment assessment as a crucial part of its holistic review process. Your performance in this test will play a significant role in evaluating your application. We strongly recommend that if you plan to apply to our program, you take the test before the end of August 2024. This will ensure that when we receive your application from AADSAS in the middle of August, we can move forward with our invitations for an interview. Casper has a two-week review period before scores are reported, so taking it early is recommended to prevent potential delays in the school’s reviewing of your application and inviting you for an interview.

During our monthly information sessions, we have indicated that the Casper assessment will only be required for applicants invited for an interview. With this change, we want to clarify to all interested applicants that completing the Casper assessment does not guarantee an interview. The Casper assessment will not be used during the initial screening of applicants and will only be used by the Admissions Committee following the on-campus interview (if you are invited).

You can visit Casper’s website here to review the upcoming assessment dates and to register for a date that works for you. If you have already taken the assessment, go to the Casper website and indicate you want your results sent to our program.

The Kira Talent assessment is also a requirement, but it is an “on-demand assessment,” meaning it can be taken at a later time. If you are invited for an interview, you will receive instructions on taking the Kira Talent assessment.
