Eric Silvers

A third generation pioneer of Yakima, Mr. Silvers graduated from Central Washington University with a BA in Music Education. Mr. Silvers taught choir, band, and orchestra at Washington Junior High in Yakima for nine years before joining with State Farm Insurance in July, 1990. During his long tenure with State Farm, Mr. Silvers has won many prestigious awards including life honors for his 20 year career. He is a Certified Mortgaged Broker, a Certified Banker, and a Registered Representative with the NASD.

Mr. Silvers was a former board member of the Downtown Yakima Rotary and served as president from 2019-2020. He is chair of the Ad Hoc Rotary for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion and active in the Yakima community. Among his numerous areas of service are: visionary of the City of Yakima, Chamber of Commerce Yakima Avenue Spring cleanup 2006; initiated the Seattle Seahawks Gatorade Camp with Davis High School; visionary for the Yakima School District School of the Arts Music guest artist program 2007; Advisory Board College of Business at Central Washington University; Board Member of the Yakima Community Foundation and Yakima Rotary Trust; and served on the Business Administration Advisory Committee for Yakima Valley College.

Eric and his wife Ester have two boys, Evan and E.J.
