Cultural/international experience | Upaya’s Nomads Clinic. I was the first western training physical therapist to participate in the Nepali-led Upaya’s Nomads Clinic in Nepal. We trekked 170 miles and climbed over 38,500ft setting up ten temporary medical clinics in the Humla region. I participated in the physical medicine tent with a Nepali-trained Physical Therapist and a Tibetian trained 12th generation Ameche. I hope to return again soon! |
