The purpose of the Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences – School of Dental Medicine (SDM) Leadership Council is to support the school’s mission and vision through education, advancement and philanthropy.
The Leadership Council is a group of trusted advisors who represent a wide range of professions and vocations and are committed to the SDM’s mission to educate the next generation of primary care dentists.

Barbara Nordquist
Ms. Barbara Nordquist is the President and Principal Advisor at Nordquist Advisors, LLC, an advisory firm that helps organizations negotiate the unique environment of the dental market, and partner effectively with dental schools and the dental education channel to better meet their goals.
A native of England, Barbara has spent over 35 years in dentistry, the last 30 years in the USA in positions of increasing responsibility focused on dental academic institutions. Prior to starting Nordquist Advisors, Barbara was Vice President, Academic & Professional Relations for Danaher KaVo Kerr (now Envista Corp. after its 2019 spin-off). Prior to joining Danaher Kavo Kerr, Barbara held long term positions at Bayer Dental (UK), Coltene/Whaledent (now Coltene) and then at Ultradent Products and Discus Dental.
Widely recognized as a pioneer and leader in building educational partnerships between teaching institutions and dental companies, Barbara is an active board member of several major dental organizations. Barbara actively mentors at dental schools and within the industry. She has a passion for giving back and supporting individuals in all aspects of dentistry. Barbara supports CF Charities, an organization that helps individuals in under-served communities develop the education and experience to pursue careers in the dental industry.
When asked about how she felt about being a part of the SDM Leadership Council, she said “I am incredibly thrilled and honored to serve as Vice Chair on the SDM Leadership Council at PNWU where I can contribute to shaping the future of dental education.
I am humbled and also honored to be working with The Dean, faculty, students, and to chair with Brigadier Dr. Shan Bagby.”
