Policy:  
Credit and degrees including designation of Latin academic honors, are based on documented student learning and learning outcomes that offer an appropriate breadth, depth, sequencing, and synthesis of learning and awarded in a manner consistent with generally accepted norms or equivalencies in higher education. 

Academic programs are responsible for reporting course syllabi and degree requirements to the appropriate University office for student academic record and secure recordkeeping. Academic programs are also responsible for assessing the curriculum toward meeting accreditation standards, the program and University mission. 

Definitions:  
Summa cum laude – 3.9 or above 
Magna cum laude – 3.7 to 3.89  
Cum laude – 3.5 to 3.69
