Dr. Tiffany Salido Nominated for Service Provider Optimism Award

Dr. Tiffany Salido, Assistant Professor in PNWU’s School of Physical Therapy, has been nominated for the prestigious Service Provider Optimism Award by the American Parkinson’s Disease Association (APDA). The nomination recognizes Dr. Salido’s exceptional contributions to the Parkinson’s community, both as an educator and a dedicated advocate for those living with Parkinson’s.

As an assistant professor in PNWU’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program, Dr. Salido leads innovative group exercise classes specifically designed for individuals with Parkinson’s, with programs aimed at addressing the disease’s most challenging symptoms. She also hosts Saturday walking programs, providing expert guidance on the proper use of walking sticks to help participants maintain mobility and independence.

Beyond her PNWU teaching duties, Dr. Salido actively volunteers her time to lecture at local Parkinson’s support groups, offering education, hope, and encouragement to those affected by the disease.
