Policy:
Policies pertaining to student rights and responsibilities will be developed, reviewed, and published in the PNWU Student Catalog. Procedures will be developed, reviewed, and published in student handbooks to ensure due process, consistency, equity, and the protection of the rights of students.
Definitions:
Student Rights
As members of the PNWU community, students have the right to express their own views and not be subjected to discrimination or harassment. Students must also take responsibility for according the same rights to others.
Students have the right to be protected from capricious decision-making by the University and to have access to PNWU policies that affect them. The University has a commitment to provide students with a balanced and fair system of dispute resolution. The University will not deprive students of due process protections to which they are entitled.
Student Responsibilities
Students at PNWU are expected to act consistently with the values of the University community; follow University policy and procedure; and obey local, state, and federal laws.
PNWU students are required to sign and are responsible to abide by and uphold the PNWU Honor Code.
