Policy:  
In-kind gifts of current edition health sciences textbooks in good condition may be donated to the library in accordance with the University’s Gift Acceptance policy. All donations require preapproval by library staff. In-kind donations with restrictions, such as permanent retention, special care or housing of items, or return of deaccessioned items to donors, will not be accepted. 

The library reserves the right to refuse any donation, and to withdraw and dispose of any donated book at any time.  

Library staff will not appraise the value of donated items. A receipt or letter acknowledging the donation for tax purposes may be provided to the donor on request. 

Monetary donations are accepted to purchase eBooks, and to support database and e-Journal subscriptions. Prospective donors should contact the library director for information.
