Policy:  
Use of space/rooms at PNWU is granted on a priority basis and must be scheduled in advance. Any individual or group wishing to use space/rooms on the PNWU campus must make a request via the appropriate procedure. 

Any individual or group using space/room(s) without having secured the space/room(s) via the appropriate procedure, may be asked to vacate the space/room(s) if the space/room is scheduled for other use. 

SCHEDULING PRIORITIES 
Within each priority an approved disability accommodation for student or faculty member takes precedence. 

PRIORITY I – DEGREE PROGRAM OFFERINGS  
PNWU academic courses leading to degree completion, regional site didactic sessions, assessment, and exam accommodations. Departments that do not submit their course schedules by the designated timeline may not be granted priority scheduling. 

PRIORITY II – INDIVIDUAL DEGREE COURSE  
Academic courses used as open electives or electives in the major. 

PRIORITY III – COLLABORATIVE PROGRAMS 
Academic courses leading to degree completion through documented collaborating institutions.  

PRIORITY IV – PNWU Board of Trustees and DEVELOPMENT  
PNWU Board of Trustees meetings and activities. Development and fundraising activities that further the PNWU mission. 

PRIORITY V – CONTINUING EDUCATION, CERTIFICATE PROGRAMS, SUPPLEMENTAL INSTRUCTION, TUTORING, MAKE-UP EXAMS, AND ASSESSMENT   
Credit and non-credit course offerings including Continuing Education and other certificate programs offered by PNWU. Room requests for supplemental instructions, tutoring sessions, and other academic program needs. 

PRIORITY VI – NONCREDIT ACTIVITIES and CONFERENCES 
PNWU or collaborative program non-academic requests (workshops, meetings, study space, professional development, student organization activities, etc.) which do not result in any measurable cost to the University nor adversely impact or conflict with activities supporting the mission.  

External events should align with the mission of the University and/or academic programs and cannot disrupt student learning.
