Demographic Information

Primary Site: Walla Walla

Satellite Site: Lewiston/Clarkston

Walla Walla is located in a beautiful valley surrounded by the Blue Mountains, wheat fields and more than 150 wineries. Walla Walla is known for their wine, famous Walla Walla Sweet Onions, historical Ft. Walla Walla, Whitman Mission, and the Marcus Whitman Hotel. It is known as a “college town” with lots of diversity coming from Whitman College, Walla Walla Community College and Walla Walla University. Walla Walla has a population of 33,492.

The only thing separating Lewiston, Idaho and Clarkston, Washington, is the Snake River and a state line running through it…These twin cities are named after explorers Meriwether Lewis and William Clark. They are also known as being the gateway to Hell’s Canyon National Recreation Area, home of North America’s deepest gorge. The region is noted for its forests, agricultural production, scenic beauty and is bordered by national forests, wilderness areas, pristine lakes, white water rivers and rugged canyons. Lewiston was Idaho’s first capitol…the Lewis Clark Valley now has a population of 62, 675.

There are multiple recreational and entertainment opportunities including: hiking, biking, outdoor winter activities, camping, berry picking, outdoor farmer’s markets, wine tasting, craft breweries, numerous farm-to-table restaurants, vibrant symphony, and community theatres, drive-in outdoor theatre, outdoor music festivals, etc…Each rotation site has access to fitness centers.
