School of Dental Medicine Admission Requirements
The Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences School of Dental Medicine Application is now closed on the AADSAS portal. The application will open again for the 2026 application cycle in early May.

Cost to Apply
ADEA AADSAS® Application Fee:
The first dental school application fee is $251. For each additional dental school you apply to, there is an additional fee of $108. ADEA AADSAS® offers application fee assistance for those who demonstrate an extreme financial need. For more information on the ADEA AADSAS® cost and process, please visit their website here.
Deposit:
The deposit amount for accepted students is still being finalized and will be posted as soon as it is available.
SDM Tuition
Tuition for the Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) program is $75,000 per year. It is a four-year program.
SDM Fees
Estimated fees are $10,000 per year. Fees are still being finalized and more information will be shared when available.

National Health Service Corps: Students to Service (S2S) Program
The NHSC S2S Application Cycle occurs annually in the fall. Check the program website for due dates.
Fourth-year dental students who intend to practice general or pediatric dentistry are eligible to apply for a loan repayment award. Benefits include a loan repayment award of up to $120,000 in return for a three-year service obligation when ready to practice.

Washington Health Corps Health Professional Loan Repayment Program
The SHP Application Cycle occurs annually in the winter. Check the program website for due dates. Dentists and dental hygienists working in clinical practice at a site approved for participation in SHP are eligible to apply. Benefits include loan repayment award of up to $75K in return for a three-year service obligation at the approved site. Extensions and additional award funds may be available for those continuing at their sites.

Federal-State Loan Repayment Program
The FHP Application Cycle occurs annually in the winter. Check the program website for due dates. Dentists and dental hygienists working in clinical practice at a site approved for participation in FHP are eligible to apply. Benefits include a loan repayment award of up to $70K in return for a two-year service obligation at the approved site. Extensions and additional award funds may be available for those continuing at their sites.

National Health Service Corps: Loan Repayment Program
The NHSC Loan Repayment Application Cycle occurs annually in the winter. Check the program website for due dates. Dentists and dental hygienists working at approved NHSC sites in an approved discipline are eligible to apply. Benefits include a loan repayment award of up to $50K in return for a two-year service obligation at the approved site. Extensions and additional award funds are available for those continuing at their sites.

Give to the SDM
To request a tour of our campus, please visit our PNWU website to register. These tours are scheduled on the fourth Tuesday of the month, excluding PNWU’s Open House dates. PNWU-SDM tours are intended for those who are not applying for the current admission cycle.
Accreditation
As of August 2024, the SDM has received initial accreditation from the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA).
