Graduation Application

A graduation application must be completed to designate the student’s intention to graduate and collect information for use in graduation activity preparation. Students will be notified when the graduation application is available for completion.

Graduation Checklist

Two to four months prior to graduation, items that need completion will be added to each student’s Self-Service Checklist. As students complete the requirements, Enrollment Services will be notified to mark the checklist items complete. Students will receive emails from PNWU Office of Institutional Effectiveness, Enrollment Services, and PNWU Financial Aid regarding final exit surveys, and financial aid exit counseling.

Final responsibility for meeting degree requirements resides with the student.

Academic Plan and Transcript Review

Students have access to their Academic Plan and Transcript in Self-Service. Both documents should be reviewed frequently during the final year of curriculum to ensure degree requirements are met, grades are complete, and that any clinical rotation schedule changes are reflected. Questions regarding the academic plan can be sent to registrar@pnwu.edu.

The graduation/degree date is reported to loan servicers and will start the repayment timeline.

Diploma

PNWU provides one paper and one digital diploma per graduate. Once all degree and graduation requirements are completed, diplomas will be issued within eight weeks. The student’s PNWU email address will be used for notification that the digital diploma is ready and printed diploma will be sent to the diploma address the student entered in Self-Service. Students who have not fulfilled their financial and other obligations shall not have diplomas made available until such obligations are met.

Digital diplomas may be accessed on the National Student Clearinghouse MyHub. Click on the Self-Service tile on the home page or along the left side menu. Use the Get CeDiploma button.

  • Check the box indicating you have read and agree to the Paradigm privacy policy and terms and conditions.
  • Click the Continue button.
  • On the next page click Download Now to download your CeDiploma.

If you have not received an email notification and do not see a link for your CeDiploma, your CeDiploma may not be ready yet.

Diploma Request

Some organizations require students to upload an electronic copy of the diploma when applying for residency or licensing, if PNWU has to reproduce a diploma, additional fees will apply. A replacement, digital or paper diploma may be ordered on MyReorder. A replacement or duplicate diploma will have replacement or duplicate printed in the lower right corner to designate that it is not the original diploma.

Requests for international shipment will incur an additional fee to cover postage.

Alumni

After graduation, PNWU is available to assist graduates with postgraduate services and support. Graduates are encouraged to reach out to the PNWU Alumni Manager at 509.249.7875. PNWU provides a support network for our future alumni, if graduates are interested in joining the Alumni Association to connect with fellow alumni, complete your profile at alumni.pnwu.edu. The PNWU Alumni Association unlocks the potential of your alumni community with professional and social networking opportunities, mentorship, jobs, internships, and much more..

As alumni, you will continue to have access to your pnwu.edu email indefinitely, however, we must change the licensing on Office 365 to reflect your alumni status and this will cause you to lose access to other services from your school account like SharePoint and OneDrive. You may have been synchronizing files from your laptop up to OneDrive or perhaps you saved files within OneNote up to your personal SharePoint site. Any files you wish to keep must be saved to another location before we make the licensing change, or you will permanently lose access to them. In addition, this change may affect the copy of Microsoft Office you have installed on your laptop or mobile device if it was downloaded from Office 365 or if it is using your PNWU account for licensing.

You can access your current files by logging into Office 365 then select OneDrive. There are several options for free cloud storage where you can move your files, Microsoft’s OneDrive Personal which includes 5GB and Google Drive which includes 15GB.

The licensing change to your school account on Office 365 will occur approximately one month after graduating. PNWU will send out reminders as the date gets closer but please act on this before it is too late to recover your files. Any questions can be directed to the Help Desk at help@pnwu.edu.

Alumni will lose access to the PNWU network or other software systems (e.g. ExamSoft and Library databases) approximately one month after graduating.
