The PNWU Library advances university engagement with biomedical literature resources to support education, research, and clinical practice by leveraging learning environments, resource collections, instruction, and services conducive to academic success.
The library is located on the first floor of Butler-Haney Hall. Your PNWU ID serves as your library ID. Individual and group study space is available in the library. Wireless connectivity is available to students for laptop computers and other Wi-Fi devices.
Available resources include online databases, digital health sciences tools, print and electronic books and journals, and portable OMT tables. Electronic resources can be accessed 24/7 off campus by logging in with your PNWU network username (your email username before the “@” symbol) and password. Popular online resources include: AccessMedicine, AccessPhysiotherapy, Case Files Collection, ClinicalKey, Acland’s Video Atlas of Human Anatomy, DynaMed, UpToDate, MEDLINE Complete, CINAHL Complete, the Cochrane Library, Trip Pro, the LWW Health Library, and eBooks through ProQuest and EBSCOhost. Students contribute to the collection’s development by submitting purchase suggestions for consideration.
Professionally degreed library staff members provide in-person and virtual reference services, in-depth research assistance, copyright coaching, database orientations, document delivery, and interlibrary loans. Subject advisory guides, video tutorials, and an online reference chat service are available remotely 24/7/365. A secure delivery system is in place for item pick-up and return outside of staffed hours. Resources are available on the PNWU course management system or the library webpages.

Warning concerning copyright restrictions
The university is a copyright compliant environment. The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material.
Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specified conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be “used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research.” If a student makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess outside of “fair use,” that student may be liable for copyright infringement.
This institution reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order if, in its judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of Copyright Law.
