Welcome to the PNWU community! We are excited that you will be arriving soon and look forward to getting to know you better. Below are several important items that will assist you in your preparation. As you review the information and prepare for the transition, please feel free to contact admission@pnwu.edu with any questions.
Once you receive your PNWU email address, login to the PNWU Off-Campus Housing Marketplace to find rentals, roommates, and subleases. Learn more on the Relocation Information page.
Establish a primary care provider early in their move to Yakima. See the Health and Wellness and Health Insurance pages for finding a provider and other resources.
The entering students may start communicating with each other on Viva Engage, using their PNWU login.
In mid-July an email will be sent out to sign up for your program’s “Big-Little” program. New students are paired with current students to assist in making connections and transitioning to professional school. Forms will be emailed when available.

There is also support for your partners as they adjust to the start of your professional, graduate education. The Partner Support Association (PSA) Information is run by and for significant others, families, and friends of PNWU students.

- A medical terminology course is great preparation, below are a couple of options for your consideration.
- Scientific and Medical Terminology, and audio-visual e-textbook course. A two-year subscription is offered by Caduceus International Publishing.
- Clinical Terminology from the University of Pittsburg
- Incoming and current students who spend time in a country with a high prevalence of TB will be required to have a single repeat TB test eight to ten weeks after they return to the U.S.
The PNWU Financial Aid team is available to help you navigate the federal financial aid system, provide financial literacy and other resources to assist you in paying for college. Review the Financial Aid web pages for details on the process and contact financial aid with any questions or to schedule an appointment.
In the spring, prior to matriculation, you will receive your PNWU email and network access. Your PNWU email will be used for all communications at that point.
Most forms and required trainings will be available in the spring prior to matriculation. Monitor your academic program’s onboarding system (MyRecordTracker or Exxat) for the status of your matriculation requirements.
