On Friday, September 9, PNWU hosted our Fifteenth Annual Osteopathic Medicine Golf Classic, live from Yakima’s Apple Tree Resort. Over 100 golfers took to the tees, raising over $65K for PNWU student scholarships.
“PNWU scholarships pave the way for our bold vision,” explained PNWU President Michael Lawler, PhD. “We’re so grateful to everyone who helped to make this year’s Golf Classic a success. Your support enables us to provide more opportunities to anyone committed to addressing the healthcare shortages facing our communities.”
This year’s tournament added a new twist, as Canopy Country offered up a No Boundaries Travel Trailer to the first person who sank a hole on Apple Tree’s famous apple-shaped-island hole seventeen.
“It couldn’t have been a better day to spend out on the course with colleagues and friends alike,” exclaimed Lesley Kerns, PNWU’s associate director of development and communications.
