The photos below capture moments from our first lab day in the pediatrics class for third-year students! We welcomed five infants, followed by nine toddlers in the afternoon. Our students had the chance to interact with the children and their parents, administer standard assessments, and engage in therapy-based activities. Some of the kids enjoyed themselves so much that they asked to return!
Students had the opportunity to go on a field trip to Children’s Village for class. They were able to see an interdisciplinary pediatric clinic in action. They had a chance to engage with the toys and equipment as well as work with local medical equipment vendors to learn about the types of equipment available for kids with impairments!
“The students were wonderful to have as guests in my place of work. They represented PNWU well with their professionalism and respect”
