Shane Carson graduated from Des Moines University, College of Osteopathic Medicine in Des Moines, Iowa, in 2002. After completing his internship at Children’s Hospital of Michigan, he went on to complete his pediatric residency training at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. After working outside of Philadelphia for a year, he returned home to the northwest to practice with Pediatric Associates of Spokane and subsequently with Providence Pediatrics. As a board-certified pediatrician, Dr. Carson is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Carson is currently the Assistant Dean for Clinical Education as he still lives in the Spokane area. Having taught medical students over the past 19 years, including those from PNWU, he is very excited to take on an expanded role in helping medical students realize their career goals.
Dr. Carson enjoys travel, golfing, and gardening in his free time. He is excited to join the PNWU team
