The Manager – Reporting and Analysis: Strategically, this position understands how decisions may impact others beyond the assigned areas of responsibility, proactively discovers, researches and resolves financial issues and continually assesses and improves Finance department efficiency and customer service.
Operationally, this position is responsible for producing high quality financial analysis and reports including month-end reporting/reconciling, budgeting, and special accounting (grants, fixed assets, endowments, investments). In addition, this position manages completion of required reports including but not limited to: annual GAAP audit, Retirement/403b audit, IRS Form 990, IPEDS reports, accreditation reports, surveys and other special reconciliations and reports upon which senior leadership bases strategic and operational decision making. Directs and holds assigned staff accountable for production of quality reports and assumes accountability for all reports assigned and generated. Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, internal control guidelines, and university procedures.
This position is responsible for supporting training and development of financial staff, and enhancing the budget awareness of University Budget Directors by development of a collaborative, mission-driven financial management and accountability culture.
