Dr. Kimberly Taylor serves as Professor of Microbiology and Chief of the Division of Microbiology in the Department of Biomedical Sciences at Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences in Yakima, WA. Dr. Taylor is a member of the American Society for Microbiology, the Association of Medical School Microbiology and Immunology Chairs, the Washington State Public Health Association, the International Society for Infectious Disease, the American Dental Education Association, the Consortium of Universities for Global Health, and is an associate faculty member of the Columbia University Seminars on Pollution and Water Resources. Dr. Taylor’s research interests include climate change and its impact on communicable disease, with a particular emphasis on the occurrence and distribution of pathogens associated with water resources, studies in the oral microbiome and its dysbiosis, and science education. She humbly serves PNWU in the realization of its mission to educate and train health care professionals emphasizing service among rural and medically underserved communities throughout the Northwest and its vision to revolutionize community health.
