PNWU Giving Societies

Lifetime Giving

The Temple Society

Named to honor Patricia Wade Temple, her son Brig Temple, and their families for contributions in the founding of Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences. Patricia and Brig’s generosity through gifts of land, financial support, and Pat’s leadership as a member of the Board of Trustees empowered the fledgling University to strive for excellence. By making substantial contributions over time, members of the Temple Society carry on PNWU’s proud legacy and help ensure an outstanding future for the University. Levels within the Temple Society recognize these donors’ substantial lifetime commitment to Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences. Each level is named for a key figure in PNWU’s history.

Bob and Charlotte Haney Society ($1,000,000+)

Bob and Charlotte Haney were the first donors in PNWU’s history to step forward with a $1 million gift inspiring the community with their vision and commitment to founding the University. The Haney’s deeply held belief that it was important to give back to the community in which they lived, worked, and loved was their motivation for giving. They recognized the vital need for healthcare in the community and believed that the mission and vision of the new University would provide solutions for this care. The University honors donors who have followed Bob and Charlotte’s example of generosity, making cumulative gifts, pledges, and estate gifts at the $1 million, $5 million, and $10 million levels.

Karen and Norman Hyatt Society ($500,000+)

Karen and Norm Hyatt represent true and consistent dedication to the University. Karen has been an inspiring role model and a committed member of the Board of Trustees, and now a Trustee Emeriti. Her support, business knowledge and acumen and her guidance during the formative years of the University have provided stability and growth to this institution.

Jim and Dee Barnhill Society ($250,000+)

Jim and Dee Barnhill have proven to be the building blocks that have supported the University since its inception by providing donations for several buildings on campus. As they look to the future they are always focused on the next building whether it be in the planning, design or construction phase. They have helped to mold the footprint of PNWU that will provide the needed spaces to educate future doctors.

Borton Family Society ($100,000+)

As a third generation entrepreneur, Byron Borton has enthusiastically embraced the University and its mission by supporting student scholarships and university expansion. His vision for the future needs of our students, the University and our community have culminated into a synergetic relationship.
