Purpose: The PNWU Library Advisory Committee serves as a liaison between the Library and PNWU students, faculty, staff, administration, and stakeholders. The committee advises library personnel on how collection resources and services can best meet the university needs regarding education, scholarly inquiry, clinical practice, and lifelong learning. Through informed insight, dialogue, and diverse, evolving perspectives, the committee fosters continuous improvement of library resources and services in realizing PNWU’s mission.
Committee membership: Library director, education and reference librarian, user services librarian, one faculty representative from each college or academic program, one Staff Council representative, the provost or their designee, one representative from the Office of Scholarly Activity, one student representative from each academic program, and representatives from non-PNWU colleges and programs as determined by the Library Advisory Committee. Faculty and students representatives are appointed by their respective programs, and term commitments may be for 1-2 years, depending on the program and position.
Meetings: Meeting are held a minimum of twice-yearly (once per semester) during the regular academic year.
