Our Communities, Our Care

Our Communities, Our Care

We see a region where the most skilled providers can be their communities’ most dedicated leaders. We’re building that future every day by caring for and supporting students from across the rural Northwest who are drawn to our mission and by instilling values of caring for people and communities through healthcare delivery.

Since graduating our first class in 2012, we’ve already seen the difference a PNWU graduate can make, and we’re ready to bring our model to a new level. We are embarking on a significant campaign to build on our founding vision and bring more compassionate, comprehensive, collaborative care to communities across Washington, Oregon, Montana, Idaho, and Alaska.

With this Campaign, We Will:

+ Attract and support the rural Northwest’s future leaders, who will infuse a commitment to caring and service throughout our health care system.
+ Address severe provider shortages that threaten the health care we all depend on.
+ Meet rural and underserved communities’ unique health care needs with integrated, person-centered, forward-looking care that overcomes the barriers we face.

Campaign Priorities

The future of healthcare is team-based, and the MultiCare Learning Center (MLC) will offer a space for that future to flourish

The MLC will provide specialized learning spaces to bring together learners from the College of Osteopathic Medicine, the School of Physical Therapy, the School of Occupational Therapy, the developing School of Dental Medicine, and the Master of Arts in Medical Science program.

The MLC is equipped with innovative medical and dental simulation.

The COM will always be PNWU’s flagship program, but the university was envisioned as more than a medical school.

Because of your support, PNWU has added a Master of Arts in Medical Science program and the School of Physical Therapy.

With your continued support, we will add the School of Occupational Therapy and the developing School of Dental Medicine to our growing health sciences campus.

Our mission to serve rural and medically underserved communities is only successful because of the students who attend PNWU.

We must increase scholarship opportunities to continue recruiting mission-driven students.
