PNWU requires completion of an appropriate level of Human Subjects Research (HSR) training before investigators may conduct research with human participants. This training is provided by the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI). Most certificates are valid for four years from the date of certification and must remain current throughout the period of the study.
Note: Additional courses are available that may be required for investigators with certain types of funding or to meet matriculation and lab safety requirements. These training topics include:
- Conflict of Interest (COI),
- Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR),
- Good Clinical Practice (GCP),
- Biosafety/Biosecurity (including OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens), and
- Laboratory Chemical Safety.
If you are unsure whether you need to complete these additional courses or require assistance please contact osa@pnwu.edu
